Despite the availability of mentorship, progress for women beyond the senior to executive career levels remains challenging in part due to the less consistent practice of sponsorship - the intentional use of influence to create and accelerate advancement opportunities.

This executive session will deliver an understanding of the non-negotiables to attain a desired career trajectory: intentional advocacy, increased visibility, and shared influence.

Attendees will gain practical yet actionable insights on:

  • Ally influence: Practically leverage their voice, reputational capital, and networks for effective advocacy
  • Sponsorship vs mentorship: Articulate the clear distinction and intentional action required for sponsorship
  • Accountability: Examining its essential role in achieving demonstrable change.

This session will be moderated by Tanya van Biesen, CEO of VersaFi, and feature a panel of seasoned financial experts -  Esther Findlay, SVP, Business Development for Western Canada and Head of IG Women, Wealth & Wellbeing, Allison Darroch, Investment Advisor, Portfolio Manager, Richardson Wealth and Chiedu Odiatu, District Vice President, RBC Asset Management.

We look forward to a candid and meaningful discussion!
